Loveland's Embassy Suites wins three awards

The Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel in east Loveland recently was honored with three awards from John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts, operator of 35 properties in 13 states.

According to a press release from JQH, the Loveland hotel won the Connie Pride Merit Award for 2017, which recognizes the top 5 percent of Embassy Suites properties. Loveland's Embassy Suites, which opened in 2009, has now won the award five times.

Tom Dwyer, general manager of the hotel, received the Excellence in Operational Leadership Award. Dwyer earned the chain's Manager of the Year Award in 2015.

Donna Clark, director of sales, received the Excellence in Sales Leadership Award, the release said.

Two healing businesses move to new office

Linda King, proprietor of Naturally Yours, and Claudia Pruitt, proprietor of New Beginnings Massage, have moved into a new office in Palmer Gardens.

They will celebrate the opening of the office at 150 E. 29th St., Suite 245, Loveland, with an open house from 3 to 6 p.m. Feb. 2. Wine, juice and hors d'oeuvres will be served, according to a press release.

King and Pruitt will maintain separate businesses but offer their expertise in a wellness spa environment, the release said. The healing, relaxation and detoxification services offered there include massage and spa treatments, hypnosis and hypnotherapy, Reiki and LuxMani energy work, reflexology, infrared sauna, ion foot detox and flower essence therapy. The office also has a new crystal light healing bed.

Studio Vino opens in Centerra, will close downtown Feb. 15

The Studio Vino art bar and boutique is in the process of moving out of downtown Loveland, where it opened almost seven years ago.

Because its building was sold, and owner Sara Turner couldn't find an appropriate space downtown, Studio Vino opened Dec. 6 at 6055 Sky Pond Drive, Unit P172, Loveland, between Best Buy and Mary's Mountain Cookies in The Promenade Shops at Centerra.

Studio Vino's downtown location, 426 N. Lincoln Ave., will close Feb. 15, Turner said.

The sip-and-paint business is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Studio Vino also still offers traveling parties at Verboten Brewing, Loveland Aleworks, Dark Heart Coffee Bar and Sweet Heart Winery, Turner said.

• Gracon LLC of Loveland won an $833,200 contract from the U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Reclamation for the replacement of pumps in Cawker City and Downs, Kan.

• Ensign Power Systems of Loveland won a $364,544 contract from the Defense Logistics Agency for nonrotating electrical converters.

• Elevations Credit Union will celebrate the grand opening of its new Fort Collins Midtown branch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 10. The branch at 2025 S. College Ave. features Elevations' "Branch 2.0" concept.

• Ryan Rohman has been named the new chief operations officer for UCHealth's Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland and Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins. Rohman has been serving in an interim position since July 2017. He started with the health system 15 years ago as a bedside nurse at Poudre Valley Hospital.

• Mark Clem recently joined Auburn Crest Hospice, 2680 Abarr Drive in Loveland, as its general manager. Clem has 25 years' experience in hospice care as a nurse, chaplain and clinical manager.

• Erik Broman has joined the ownership of Realtec Commercial Real Estate Services as a principal. Broman, a native of Fort Collins and graduate of Colorado State University, has worked at Realtec for nine years. Realtec has offices in Loveland, Fort Collins and Greeley.

• Loveland jewelry artist Peggy Houchin has been selected to show her jewelry designs depicting landscapes at the Fort Collins Museum of Art as part of the "This Land Is My Land" exhibition that runs Jan. 19 through March 18.
