(MENAFN Editorial) September 25, 2017 If you're in the hypnotherapy industry, chances are you're here for a reason that may be the passion to help other people with problems. This is sometimes the driving force behind any service-driven industry and the reason why most will get up and go to work every single day.

If you've just recently gained your qualifications as a licensed practitioner and you're in the early days of setting up your practices, the probability of you raring to go and give it all you got is high. However, before you get started, there's one thing you need to get first, and that would be clients!

Word of mouth used to be the single tried-and-tested method to becoming well-known. However, things have changed and, these days, having an online presence, whether you have your own website or a profile on any directory, is just as important, if not more so.

If you're currently setting up your profile or your website currently, here are some things to remember.

Getting Personal

People connect with other people. Thus, as much as you want to stay as a faceless entity, it would really help to put a face to a name. If you're really not comfortable circulating your face among the general public, use some photos of your workplace in your website instead.

Talk about your story, too. What made you take the path of a hypnotherapist in the first place? How did it make an impact on your life? You don't need to go into too much detail if you don't even want to. Just bits and pieces about yourself and your journey will be enough.

Make It Easy For Clients to Get In Touch

Don't make your clients hunt around your website just looking for your contact information. Provide them with a few options a phone number and an email address are the standard choices, since there are those who feel more comfortable sending an email at the beginning.

One way to make it easy for clients to contact you is to include the info on every page, perhaps in the footer. That way, they don't have to spend too much time searching.

Talk About Your Specialties

What are the things you're passionate about? Have you done further training in other areas as well? Be sure to put this on your website. Anything that sets you apart as someone who's a bit different from the rest, such as a specialty or your work methods, is a bonus. Meaning, it will help you stand out from your competition.

Be a symbol of authority on the subject and consider writing articles to share what you know. Content such as this will help keep visitors to your website interested in what you have to offer, and can help compel them to return over and over again.

Doing Competitor Analysis

Have you taken some time to see what others in your niche are offering? If not, this can be a helpful exercise. See what sets you apart from the rest and take note of any frustrations you may feel as you visit their site. Then see how you can incorporate the same strategy in your own way on your own website.
